 IMPORTANT INFORMATION

 

·         Applications must be submitted by the required date prior to the scheduled Selection Committee meeting. To view the schedule, please click here.

 

·         If you wish to complete a panel application please click on Panels Application Website for access.

 

·         You need a Grants Online username and password to lodge an application for a panel. To obtain your username and password your firm must be registered for Grants Online. If you have forgotten your Grants Online username and password, please contact the Grants Support Desk at grants.support@legalaid.nsw.gov.au or on (02) 9219 5999.

GENERAL CRIMINAL LAW PANEL

 

Please note that the next Selection Committee meeting for the General Criminal Law Panel is scheduled for late October 2009. Applications must be submitted before Friday, 9 October 2009. 

Practitioners MUST be appointed to the General Criminal Law Panel to be eligible for inclusion on to their Local Court Duty Roster in 2010.

Appointment to this panel excludes the specialist Children's Courts that are covered by the Children's Crime Panel.

Please note that current Duty Solicitor Scheme Guidelines apply.

 

SERIOUS CRIMINAL LAW PANEL

The Serious Criminal Law Panel is only open to solicitors to instruct Counsel. This is not a panel for solicitors to conduct matters as a solicitor advocate. Counsel may be briefed by panel solicitors in appropriate matters subject to Legal Aid NSW policies and approval.

Please note that practitioners wishing to undertake work in the jurisdictions covered by the General Criminal Law Panel will need to apply to that panel.
