Welcome to the August 2007 issue of the Children's Legal Service Bulletin.
 
I have included the excellent papers given at the CLS Conference held in Sydney on 16 June 2007 as well as Jane Sander's paper on LEPRA and the APEC security powers that she presented at the Legal Aid Criminal Law Conference on 3 August 2007. I have also included a paper on Complicity by Andrew Haesler SC that he gave at the 2006 CLS Conference.
 
You will also find the recent Supreme Court decision of R v PDR providing the much needed authority that includes being a juvenile into the category of "exceptional circumstances" for the purposes of the Bail Act.
