  Case Conferencing is now in its second year.
  Practice Note No.1 of 2007 has replaced Practice Note No.5 of 2005. It will be necessary for practitioners to familiarise themselves with the new Practice Note and ensure that orders are sought in accordance with the new Practice Note for all matters where an accused is being represented on an assignment of a grant of legal aid. The Protocol between Legal Aid Commission and the DPP relating to Case Conferencing is currently being reviewed so as to conform with Practice Note No.1 of 2007. It will be published as soon as it is settled
