Legal Aid NSW response to coronavirus

13 Mar 2020

Legal Aid NSW and LawAccess NSW are continuing to provide services to our clients and the general public, however the health and safety of our staff and clients is paramount.

Starting Monday 16 March, we will be asking temporary screening questions prior to booking appointments with clients and at entrances to our physical offices.

The two questions are:

1. Have you travelled overseas in the last 14 days?; or

2. Have you had contact with anyone who you know has a confirmed case of the Coronavirus in the past 14 days?

If a client answers yes to either of these questions, we will offer them a service remotely, primarily by phone, Skype or Audio Visual Link (AVL).

If you have any questions or would like to book an appointment over the phone, please contact your closest Legal Aid NSW office.

We are monitoring the instructions given by health authorities and will continue to update our clients and stakeholders about any changes to our service.
