Services over the Christmas break

Legal Aid NSW offices will be closed from Monday 26 December 2022 and will reopen on Monday 9 January 2023.
The following essential services will be available during that time:
The LawAccess NSW free telephone service will be open for legal help Monday to Friday 9am–5pm, including the public service holiday, (except public holidays): 1300 888 529
The Children's Legal Service Youth Hotline 1800 10 18 10 will be available from 9am–midnight on weekdays; and 24 hours on Saturdays, Sundays and all public holidays.
The Women’s Domestic Violence Court Advocacy Service line 1800 WDVCAS or 1800 938 227 will be open, except on public holidays.
Legal Aid NSW’s Domestic Violence Unit Hotline will be open on 1800 979 529. However, if you are in an emergency you should call NSW Police on 000.
Your Story Disability Legal Support will be open to support people wanting to share their story with the Disability Royal Commission. The final closing date for submissions to the Disability Royal Commission is 31 December 2022. You can contact Your Story on 1800 77 1800 (free call), via webchat or online form at yourstorydisabilitylegal.org.au, by email at yourstorydisability@legalaid.qld.gov.au or via the National Relay Service. We are open Monday to Friday (excluding public holidays) from 10am to 6pm AEDT. Free counselling is available on 1800 421 468, including on public holidays and weekends.
