FAP household scenario 2: couple with dependent children

Thi is 22 and is a full-time university student. She lives with her parents and has a part-time job at a restaurant. Thi’s parents both work full-time. Thi is responsible for her own expenses such as her mobile phone and public transport, and she pays board to her parents to cover the cost of food and bills. Thi has applied for legal aid for a criminal matter.

Thi = dependent child = couple with dependent children =  ΓΌFAP

Legal Aid NSW determines that Thi is a dependent child and forms part of a ‘couple with dependent children’ household. Both of Thi’s parents are financially associated persons and their income and assets are included under the Means Test.
