What are Prisoners' legal matters?

The Prisoners' legal matters for which a grant of legal aid is available include representation at hearings before the Parole Authority, review hearings for segregation directions, life re-sentencing matters and matters heard by visiting justices.

Grants of legal aid for Prisoners' legal matters does NOT include the substantive criminal matter related to a person's imprisonment, sentence appeals, or any other adjacent legal matter a person who happens to be in prison may have.
