Placing our clients at the centre of everything we do

The latest Legal Aid NSW annual report shows continued high levels of client satisfaction.

Legal Aid NSW had delivered 714,819 services in 2018–19 and recorded a client satisfaction rate of 84 percent. Two thirds of clients surveyed in the most recent Legal Aid NSW client satisfaction survey reported feeling safer or more secure as a result of the help they received from Legal Aid NSW.

It also provides information about key Legal Aid NSW initiatives in this financial year, including our focus on helping more families experiencing violence navigate our family law system through the Family Advocacy and Support Service, training we delivered to more than 1,100 lawyers around NSW to prepare them for significant criminal justice reforms, and how we increased the proportion of Legal Aid NSW case and in-house duty services delivered to Aboriginal people.
