National Disability Insurance Scheme Service

Who we are

Legal Aid NSW can give you free legal help if you have a problem with the NDIS.

Who we help

We can help people who:

  • are participants in the NDIS, or
  • want to become participants in the NDIS.

How we can help

Advice and assistance

We can give you free independent advice about your NDIS problems. We can tell you about your rights and what you can get from the NDIS.

We may be able to help you if:

  • the NDIA rejected your application to be a participant in the NDIS
  • you are not happy with the funding in your NDIS plan, or
  • you do not think you have enough funding for your disability supports and services.

If you’re not happy with a decision the NDIA makes you can challenge the decision.

You can find more information about this in the brochure Not happy with a National Disability Insurance Scheme decision?

If you have already appealed the NDIA decision to the Administrative Appeals Tribunal we may be able to represent you.

You will need to:

To apply for legal aid you must complete 2 forms:

  1. Application for NDIS Appeals Legal Services
  2. Application for legal aid

Send the 2 completed forms to:
