Law for Community Sector Workers What is Best for Kids
We run free workshops for staff, volunteers and board/committee members of NSW community organisations.
This workshop covers:
- Children and family separation
- Making arrangements and agreements that are 'best for kids'
- The family law system and children's matters
- Where to get legal help
This workshop is delivered by Legal Aid NSW lawyers with extensive experience in family law.
Registration is essential as places for this workshop are limited.
Who should attend?
- Staff that work have contact with people experiencing family breakdown including children and family services workers.
- Staff that have contact with parents and children.
Learning Outcomes
By completing this workshop, participants will have information and tools to:
- Explain family law processes especially about arrangements for children
- Describe how arrangements can be made for children
- Understand the principles in family law which effect children
- Identify where to get legal help and information
