Workshops for older people

The Older Persons’ Legal and Education Program, a specialist service of Legal Aid NSW run in partnership with The Aged-care Rights Service, gives talks for groups of seniors and community workers on topics like:

  • planning ahead (wills, powers of attorney, and appointments of enduring guardianship)
  • elder abuse
  • how to protect your assets if you want to help your family financially
  • reverse mortgages
  • grandparents issues.

For more information or to book a talk for your group call 02 9219 5924.

A range of brochures on legal issues for older people are available in English and a number of community languages. You can access these by selecting older people on the factsheets and resources page.

You can also listen to our talking brochures about legal issues for older people. You can borrow these from your local public library.
