Grants Online

Legal Aid NSW application portal

Trying to log into Grants Online? Press onto the three lines, the ‘Grants Online | Lawyers’ button will appear in the menu.

Grants Online is the portal for law practices to submit applications for legal aid on behalf of their clients.  In order to conduct business with Legal Aid NSW, private Law Practices, including barristers, are required to register to access Grants Online.

This enables associates at the Law Practice to:

  • submit and view applications and extensions;
  • read grant letters and correspondence from Legal Aid NSW;
  • view invoices and submit claims;
  • submit file outcomes;
  • enquire on client and file details;
  • update client details, and
  • update their own and details and that of their law practice;
  • respond to audit requests;
  • access the Legal Aid NSW Learning Management System to register for courses and conferences.

A registered principal of a Law Practice or barrister can access the Panels Application website to apply for appointment to panels.

Family dispute resolution practitioners (FDRP) must be registered for Grants Online in order to submit invoices for FDRP fees at legally aided conferences.
