Overview

Understanding Our Clients provides lawyers with foundational awareness and knowledge to aid understanding of our clients and provides insights into working more effectively with different client cohorts.

Serving our Mob provides a specific focus in understanding our Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander clients.

The complete module consists of two videos and 9 tip sheets. Each tip sheet focuses on a different client cohorts and consists of tips for working more effectively with that client cohort, information about non-legal referrals, targeted action learning activities and links to useful resources.

To demonstrate participation in this training module, you are required to register and complete it through our Learning Management System (LMS) (course code: UOC230728).

Learning outcomes

By the end of the training, participants will be able to:

  1. know what they need to understand to work more effectively with different client cohorts
  2. identify referrals for non-legal issues, and
  3. apply knowledge and skills gained through targeted action learning activities.
